Emmi Amos
Veterinary Practice Manager (Cert IV in Small Business Management)
Emmi joined the management team in 2013. With a background of management outside the veterinary field she enjoys the challenge of balancing patient, client and team needs. Originally from Victoria she loves the warm weather. She has called Townsville home since 2005 and loves the relaxed and friendly atmosphere in North Queensland. At home her large dog and children keep her busy and entertained! If re-encarnated, Emmi was love to be a dolphin as she would be intelligent, able to swim freely and make others happy.

Jodie Sparks
Veterinary Nurse
Meet Jodie! Jodie joined our team in October 2024, bringing 20+ years of experience with her. She has been a Townsville girl her whole life—a true Aussie Bogan, if you will. Jodie loves all animals, with five dogs, a bird, a snake, and a guinea pig to keep her on her toes. When she isn’t working, Jodie enjoys camping, jet skiing, and exercising her animals. If Jodie were to be reincarnated, she would be an Ape, free in a forest.

Jemma Thomas
Veterinary Nurse (Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing)
Jemma, originally a Cairns girl, moved to Townsville in 2023 to join our team after being in the industry since 2018. Growing up she was surrounded by pets of all kinds which derived her towards entering the vet world. Regardless though Jemma still has a big soft spot for both collies and shepherds, but especially her German shepherd, Raven! Jemma also has 3 cats, Alfred, Molly and Salem. Outside of work, you’d find her either adventuring, reading books or busy running around as a first-time mother. Jemma thinks if she were to be reincarnated she’d like to be a white tiger.

Emma Thompson
Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing)
Emma originates from Coalstoun Lakes in Queensland, where she grew up on her grandmother's watermelon and peanut farm. After spending her high school years in Maryborough, she moved to Townsville to further her career in the animal industry. Emma obtained her Certificate II in Animal Studies through Central Queensland University while working as a dog handler at Dogtopia Retreat, where she honed her skills in canine behaviour and healthcare.
Now, after nearly eight years in Townsville, Emma has completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through AVT. She spent 2.5 years at Tropical Vets Northshore, gaining extensive knowledge in mixed practice. Currently, she works at Bohle Veterinary Surgery, where she pursues her passion for anaesthetics, hospital care, and general practice nursing.
At home, Emma shares her life with two playful Border Collies, Duncan, a 7-year-old red and white, and Maverick, a 1.5-year-old black and white. These spirited companions accompany her on regular camping trips, allowing them to explore the natural beauty of North Queensland together.
Emma has a deep appreciation for Border Collies, drawn to their remarkable temperament, loyalty, and energy. With three years of experience in the veterinary field, she provides a holistic approach to animal health care. Her goal is to become an animal naturopath, where she can delve deeper into natural remedies and their benefits.
Outside of her professional commitments, Emma enjoys travelling, camping with Duncan and Maverick, and engaging in dressmaking in her spare time. If she were to be reincarnated as an animal, she would choose the Manta Ray, which reflects her connection to the ocean and symbolizes abundance. The Manta Ray teaches the importance of navigating life with an open heart, and Emma embraces this philosophy as she welcomes new experiences into her life.
