Dr Richard Amos
Senior Veterinarian (BVSc)
Richard graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 1997. He began his career as a dairy cattle veterinarian in Warrnambool, Victoria, where he spent four years working in a challenging coastal environment.
He then travelled extensively around Australia as a locum veterinarian, gaining broad experience in mixed and small animal practices across Western Australia, Darwin, and Port Macquarie. This diverse background has equipped Richard with the skills to care for a wide range of animals.
Since 2005, Richard has been based in Townsville, where he continues to provide dedicated veterinary care to the local community.
Outside of work, Richard enjoys fishing, camping, four-wheel driving, and spending time with large breed dogs. If given the choice, he says he would come back as a bird—just for the chance to fly.

Emmi Amos
Veterinary Practice Manager (Cert IV in Small Business Management)
Emmi joined the management team in 2013, bringing with her a strong background in management outside the veterinary industry. She enjoys the challenge of balancing the needs of patients, clients, and the team to ensure the practice runs smoothly.
Originally from Victoria, Emmi has called Townsville home since 2005 and appreciates the warm climate and the relaxed, friendly lifestyle of North Queensland.
Outside of work, Emmi stays busy with her children and her large dog, who keep life both active and entertaining. If she were to be reincarnated, she says she would choose to be a dolphin—intelligent, free to swim the oceans, and able to bring joy to others.
