Richard Graduated from Melbourne University with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 1997. He spent 4 years as a Dairy cattle vet in cold and windy Warrnambool in Victoria before travelling around Australia working as a locum veterinarian. Richard has spent time working in mixed and small animal practices in Western Australia, Darwin and Port Maquarie, treating a diverse range of animals. Richard has worked as a vet in Townsville since 2005. Richard’s interest include fishing, camping. 4WDing and large breed dogs. If Richard was to be rencarnated he would choose to be a bird, so he can fly!

Nadia joined our team in 2022, she is a dedicated Vet who will always look out for both yourself and your pets. She loves seeing all types of animals, big or small and is dedicated to providing the best care possible for your pet. The team think if Nadia was to come back as any animal it would be Labrador. Lover of food.

Emmi joined the management team in 2013. With a background of management outside the veterinary field she enjoys the challenge of balancing patient, client and team needs. Originally from Victoria she loves the warm weather. She has called Townsville home since 2005 and loves the relaxed and friendly atmosphere in North Queensland. At home her large dog and children keep her busy and entertained! If re-encarnated, Emmi was love to be a dolphin as she would be intelligent, able to swim freely and make others happy. 

Meet Jodie! Jodie joined our team in October 2024, bringing 20+ years of experience with her. She has been a Townsville girl her whole life—a true Aussie Bogan, if you will. Jodie loves all animals, with five dogs, a bird, a snake, and a guinea pig to keep her on her toes. When she isn’t working, Jodie enjoys camping, jet skiing, and exercising her animals. If Jodie were to be reincarnated, she would be an Ape, free in a forest.

Madi is a Townsville girl born and raised who joined our team in late 2021 as our Trainee nurse. Growing up Madi has always loved animals, ever since the 2009 RSPCA Animal Walk ad. She is always happy to see any animal and loves learning new skills. She hopes to further her wildlife carer along the way. Madi has 3 dachshunds, Steve McStevenson, Marlo, and Eli, who are always keeping her on her toes. When she isn’t studying or working, she enjoys catching up with friends and family, watching horror movies and napping. If Madi was to be reincarnated she would like to be a Maned Wolf, hidden and quiet.

Shay is our new Trainee Veterinary Nurse. She was born in Townsville and has always had a passion for animals both large and small. Shay has a Kelpie and Bull Arab as well as 2 thoroughbred horses! She is passionate about our clients and patients and ensuring the best care and attention for your furry friends. Outside of work Shay enjoys camping, 4-wheel driving and fixing the motors in her cars. If shay were to be reincarnated, she would be a wild horse, running free across the land.
